Trophy Games acquires Playrion SASU
Torque portfolio company Trophy Games is completing its largest acquisition to date with the acquisition of French game developer Playrion. The company has approximately 30 employees and will continue to operate independently from its studio in Paris, while gaining access to Trophy Games’ expertise in marketing, data, technology, and game development.
The acquisition follows a model similar to Trophy Games’ acquisition of Airline Manager 4 in 2021, which became the foundation for a series that today consists of six management games within transportation. Playrion is the developer of Airport Simulator, and Trophy Games sees significant potential to use the existing game and its underlying technology as the foundation for a broader series of simulation titles.
The Playrion deal also reflects Trophy Games’ strategy of pursuing growth both organically and through acquisitions. With Playrion expected to contribute a full quarter to Trophy Games’ 2026 financial results, the Board of Directors has revised its full-year guidance. Revenue is now expected to reach DKK 170–180 million, up from the previous guidance of DKK 150–167 million.
